>GIMP (free, easy to use, mac and PC)
>SAI( "Paid", easy to use, light on the computer, PC only)
>Photoshop ("Paid", not very beginner friendly, heavy on computer, mac and PC)
Any art program works but make sure it can export to psd as that's the format Live2D reads
Rigging options:
>Live2D ("Paid", has frequent sales, easy to pick up, standard for 2d Vtubing)
>Adobe After effects ("Paid", can give the "live 2D look" but only for premade stuff, can not be used for streaming unless you get really creative)
Capture options:
>Face rig (Paid -Steam- uses webcam)
>PrPrLive(Free -Steam- uses webcam)
>Vtuber studio (Free but has pro option -app store/direct download- uses phone camera, requires phone with face tracking chip, can be linked to computer to use with OBS)
