Nijisanji is pretty much the outlier in the whole medium, it's the only place where males consistently do pretty well.
And for the most part they use the same strategy as female vtubers and appeal to women who want attractive anime men. That's what is most successful.
The brovtuber niche exists and it can work. Magni and Vesper prove it. But it's a significantly less popular thing overall.
