To make people unfamiliar with tarkov understand: Imagine Apex but there is no skill based MM, you spawn with no shield and the worst gun, you cannot pickup loot and your opponent is a dude with whatever gun is super OP right now and red shield. and there is 3 of them. And You play a game where TTK is instant because 2 shots to thorax kills you. And you cannot damage enemy torso directly at all with your puny rounds.

Because this is a hardcore shooter. Its about overcoming the obstacles and getting there. Harder the journey, sweeter the reward. What I described is an extreme scenario that wont happen often, at least early wipe, but it fits here because I dont see any EN FPS gamer being okay with having to overcome such odds. Same can be said about the audience. Western zoomers need instant gratification in order to be entertained.
As for issues with
- Cheaters: Each wipe cycle it gets worse and I dont know if devs can fix it, because if they could, they would. But at the same time its its becoming likely they dont give a fuck because manual bans are rare and usually happen when a streamer runs into an issue. (Recently a dev was powertripping and was perma'ed at least one person for killing him)
- Spawns: No. The solution would be reducing amount of players per map, which is IMO needed for some maps. But devs seemingly don't share my opinion
- Unfair fights: Its a hardcore survival shooter. Its kind of the point. You gear up, you risk your expansive gear, but odds of your survival increase
