The whole announcement during Kronii's thing also solidified that EN management is no different from JP. "The talents have the freedom to take their brand in the direction they want.". Basically, if you want to do something, pitch an idea to your manager. They'll consult with the higher ups, get the budget, and work on trying to make it a reality.
EN probably has their own hangups about shit that might cause issues in the west (Gura's loli daki for example, bad PR) but generally they will just let the talents go where they want.
Do you think they've never tried to do main channel projects like JP does? It requires the talents to do actual VA work though, which most of them aren't willing to do.
Every single fucking one of them talk about all sorts of "behind the scenes" projects all the time but not a single one has ever seen the light of day. It's obvious that the girls are just fucking lazy, and the management has given up on them.
Which - ironically - may be the reason they are focussing on the homos now.
