The downside of this is dying, STDs, getting robbed, arrested, losing your house/car/job etc and feeling empty the next day as you wait for your next fix and for your brain to recover.
Drugs are the worst on this list, but just SIMPing away your money isn't that much better to be honest. They're all bad hobbies and until you admit you have a problem there's no hope for you.
