>>42112297Yeah, I'm actually the one that posted the link in the first place. I'm not familiar with these people but the one on the right right mentioned Vtubers and liking Pekora (he discovered her on TV at some point, but I don't think he is a newfag because he knew about Vtuber history starting 2018) and asked the one on the left whether he is familiar with her, and he indeed was and was a fan of Hololive himself. They seemed surprised that they have something in common at all and that it was Vtubers of all things. Left is surprised that right would be into such a thing and said usually when he talks about how great Vtubers are, he just gets baffled reactions like "But they are just pictures? Why would people give money to pictures?" and he thought for sure the guy on the right would be be that type and would make fun of him for it for sure. Left thinks that way of thinking makes these people pretty superficial and that he can't understand why they would think that way, and the fact that right also gets it and thinks that way of thinking is stupid made him see him in a new light. Left said right likes JAV actresses and reality and that he would have never thought that he'd be into it. Right says he just likes things happening on a screen, he enjoys observing girls chatting and having fun among themselves in a world that he has no relation to and can't participate in himself. And that he doesn't want to enter this world himself or play with them either, just observr. The one on the left says he understands - after all, if we ourselves came into the equation and started interacting with them too much, the conversation and the whole atmosphere would change. Unlike themselves, the conversations Vtubers have are usually not directed outwards but are focused inside - their own sphere - and he likes that a lot. Right says that is exactly it - and there are just people that will never get it. Vtubers usually don't act as if the are being watched or at least don't convey that feeling. Left then asks right whether he is curious about their "living bodies", the people inside, but the right one is a hardliner and says people that like Vtubers shouldn't even be talking about this because the people inside don't exist, the Vtubers are who they are. The one on the left says he thinks that is a bit of a short sighted opinion and he thinks it's weird, sometimes Vtubers show us or talk about some parts of their private lives on the outside so the line is blurred. And it makes him happy when they do choose to share something about their lives with us, that even though they generally do act out their character setting to a certain extent, he loves it when they give us a glimpse of what's behind. It encourages him to think or dream about what kind of person they might be like "I wonder if that's her?" or stuff like this. He thinks people should be allowed to do that, so forbidding people to even think or daydream about it is something he doesn't approve of. The one on the right seems like he is getting what the one on the left is saying and then he goes like "Ahh.. so it's like when you get excited about Idols that aren't allowed to date dating in secret?" and the expression of the guy on the left completely stiffens in disappointment because right doesn't get it and the video ends with both of them laughing.
