Yeah, big reason is/was Holofightz and Nasfaq getting consistent traffic, which was the only real place that saw growth in posters for most of the lifetime of the board. That was mostly a point or two down every few days. Now there's the NijiEN thread which pushed it more to a point a day, but it's probably hit its zenith for a while, so after a bit it'll probably stabilize. They're in their place, we're in ours, keep it separate and it's fine to exist together.
Someone said the splits were growing in one of the replies? They're pulling shit out their ass. You can look at the stats and see that threads outside of a particular set almost never hit even 1 PPM. I'd say they're even reclining compared to April.
Overall: we've been pretty consistent in our speed for the last four months, with some big bursts every once in a while and some small troughs too. So it's kind of funny to see people throw a fit (jokingly or not) about the overall activity of the board itself raise by about a little less than 1 post per minute, resulting in a change so minor you'd barely even register it if you weren't hyper-fixated on numbers.
In my own best guess, you can measure just over half the board to us, a quarter of the board to the other consistent generals (threads that came over from the other boards when this place was made and new ones like Holofightz or the canvas), 10% of the board to the oshi threads, and the remaining 5% to the miscellaneous remnants. Everything that's been measured has mostly been from a brief swell in the misc. category, and a more consistent but small growth in the Generals: Other category.
