If you go and hang out with Japanese fans you will quickly realize how normal it is to be “parasocial”. Even antis endorse such kind of behavior. You don’t see Japanese going on with the “muh parasocial le bad” narrative and even holomems are parasocial with their fans (polka, watame, Noel, possibly korone), some are parasocial to a lesser degree (miko, okayu, nene, kanata) and some of them are parasocial with their own oshi, like kanata. Otaku culture was and will forever be weird shit regardless of normalfags beliving they are otaku because they watched naruto and SnK.

Laplus motion sickness might be true but then why would she join the e-celeb discord to begin with? The point is she only cares about getting surrounded by e-celeb males who play fps. I honestly buy her motion sickness because Rust and minecraft really fucks me up but valorant doesn’t, so I share that with her.
Now, if she really cared about games she would’ve played something else and call it. If she cared about valo she would be amazing since it’s the only thing she plays, yet she’s trash; why? Because she’s only interested in the game because she plays it with people who are famous on the internet. That’s it. If she cared about hololive and her fans she would’ve done a lot of projects, collabs, get closer to holomems just like the rest of her gen did, but she didn’t; again, why? Because she doesn’t care about hololive outside of the money and the clout she gets to push her rm and getting closer to e-celebs.
I still remember there was a marine mengen where she talked about the fashion sense collab and chat told her to invite laplus and she said no. Keep in mind senchou also invited iroha to her shouwa live because she was interested in her and since they haven’t had a collab it was a perfect chance. Laplus also got forced into fubuki’s birthday stream even though she had nothing going on with anyone on that stream…
