She's also pretty lazy, and she doesn't like going anywhere outside her comfort zone, that's why she doesn't bother collabing with people who would most likely make her look stupid for not speaking any Japanese. But she's a natural entertainer, she did her fair share in defining modern Internet humor (remember who wrote the ok boomer song?), and she loves attention as much any e-celeb does, that's why she goes live on camera every day.
But chumbuds will never accept that because it would require accepting that their oshi is not actually an innocent anime loli sent from Heaven, but a rotten twenty-something e-celeb shitposter who enjoys what she's doing quite a damn lot. She would be swearing like a sailor and chugging alcohol too, but that got tiring after a few years, so she went clean.
Gura and Nyanners are about as similar as entertainers get. The only difference is that Nyanners is older (she practically paved the way for HER and other similar youtubers) so she always struggled with stuff she made for her old 4chan audience, which was far too edgy for the modern Internet. That's why she was always so obsessed with disowning it, she doesn't want her edgy past to ruin her future whenever some schizo decides to dig it all out. That's why she made sure that people remembered her comments on lolicon etc. instead of her old content. Gura, on the other hand, never had to struggle with anything like that, the rules were already written when she arrived on the scene.
