Marine actually likes her character lore and plays with it in all her original songs which she combines with her Touhou influences and love of worldbuilding in general as she did with her rpg project.

I'm not very much into vtuber songs or jpop in general, but Unison is pretty much the only one I come back to from time to time. Besides the psychedelic tune, I like the subtext of the song and how mundane it is.
It always piqued my interest how silence is referred to as a person. Not sure what's the meaning of it, especially in relation to "the choice".

Unpopular opinion, but I think treasure box which more lore-based is shit. Ahoy is meh. But Unison is best song hololive ever produced period, by far.

Yeah all those hololive anthems like Ahoy or Stellar Stellar mean nothing outside of hololive fanbase. People who unfamiliar with hololive wouldn't add it to their playlit and listen to it on the way to work.
But Unison is just that. It's a really good song on its own. You can listen to it days after days without knowing who Marine is the same way I listened to IOSYS before knowing wtf is touhou.

Unison is great, although I don't go to her for my favorite originals. Towa and Aki have that advantage. Towa especially, but Aki surprised me in that while I don't think her best originals are as fantastic as towa's best originals they just stick to you like a fucking cognitohazard and they're enjoyable throughout.

I don't even get how is this controversial in the slightest. Unison is probably the least mainstream-friendly song Hololive put out besides stuff like PoPoPo.
