I'm happy there are more types of people involved in the EN scene now because it means it's possible to find someone who clicks more with you. The drama was always there, it was just harder to see if you didn't speak Japanese. I do miss the days when Holos weren't so busy with non-streaming work, and my oshi didn't spend all her time doing recordings and busywork...

And also, a bunch more other great talent debuted afterwards, while only three long-time talents graduated, not counting CN. For me, every year of VTubing has something unique to it. If you returned me to 2020, I'd rather be bummed that about a dozen great talents who debuted since are not going live. We gained more than we've lost since then.
