Here's what you should do: admit that your culture is rotten, fix it by having competitive mentality, instead of being jealous try to get yourself together and and understand your weaknesses, spread the words to people around you, and you will automatically elect better politcians. There you go, this is a genuine advice. Indonesia used to be very similar with yours just around 2 decades ago, but Indonesian spend our time fixing our own problems instead of comparing ourselves to other people and being envious.
