You can't really be "against" the majority on a site like Reddit because of the way it works, you just get hit by downvotes and your opinion is buried. It's a complete echo chamber in the sense that only the agreeable opinions get any visibility in the first place.
That's why no matter how much people shit on this place, it's still world's better than the alternatives. Because at least you are able to be honest here.
On other sites you have to put up a fake persona, or you have to dance around an issue and hide what you actually think. That's not exclusive to Reddit either, practically every other site works this way.
Back to this topic though, you can safely assume that even in those communities a sizable chunk of people don't want holos to get a bf or to collab with shojos etc., but they have to either hold this opinion secretly and quietly or risk losing reputation/get shunned.
