Because she's Pekora, that involved a period of ghosting because it was awkward for her or whatever. Or maybe she wanted to "hint" to people that it's really over without breaking character and giving some meta-explanation.
iirc Miko never stopped being friendly to her it was mostly Pekora ghosting her for a long-ass time so naturally people rratted about Miko raping her.
The fact that this pairing was very quickly replaced with ANOTHER "red-blue" pairing (pure coincidence and definitely not forced by management, I swear) shows that Miko is still fine with shipping, but she also agreed to keeping it at a friendship level to prevent another PekoMiko end.
