I can't bear to see this.
Why is it so hard for vtubers to break the 200 cap even after years of grinding? Why does YouTube places such a brutal cap on vtubers outside corpos? Is it even worth stream just to 100-150 people?

Because part of being a streamer is waiting to get lucky and be pushed by the algorithm into the spotlight. Once that happens you need to be very entertaining or you will drop back down.

Of course, you retard. Being a 3view already puts you at the top 1% of ALL streamers. Not just chuubas.
Even chuubas with like 50 viewers can earn as much as a middle-class SEA citizen with just a handful of gachis.

Sadly, it is far easier to "make it" on Twitch as a 2/3view than it is on YT.
YT is more luck based ontop of hard grind.
Aletta being a perfect example of this.

1.Comedy
2. Gaming skill
3. Singing
4. Conversation
5. Drawing/other talents

These indies usually only do one of these at a mediocre level.

This is a fallacy. A lot of big vtubers came from 2view territory, most egregious examples are Korone, Pekora and Subaru who their abandoned channels are sub 15k subs.

Anon corpo especially holos are culled very hard we have several instances of holoviwership hitting rock bottom out of nowhere for people not breaking the 200 cap is skill issue

I don't know the full story myself, I don't know nihongo, I followed them passively, Alesro was the one I subbed to.
One day I realize I haven't seen her streams in my subbox for a while and that I can not find her channel in my subs, only "_a".
It was too late when I realized what had happened.
