Ami pioneered this style back in 2011, but wasn’t fully animated, just her face really, so I think she was just using a face rig.
I know motion capture exists, but I don’t think Lim is riding her motorcycle around with ping pong balls stuck all over her.
Has to be some kind of face rig/ facial recognition, but full body.
L2D relies mostly on a phone’s facial recognition software, so it’s gotta be something like that I think.
