I want to discuss toxic positivity in the vtuber community. What is toxic positivity? Well I’d say excessive praising or “simping” of a chuuba to a harmful extent. For example say a vtuber has gained a following of people that will always say she/he can do no wrong no matter their output. Is this the right thing to do? Or should fans be more critical of who they’re viewing and the content they consume? How does toxic positivity affect creators who wish to always deliver the best content?
