my first indie was a local finnish one röllipeikko called ronja, from finnish mythology, and she quit within the year, because it didn't catch on, had 15 viewers average. was very sad.
now amiya, she plays old games.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6rvrTT4GG0#t=12m18swhat that most impacted me was when she introduced to 18th century
beatrix potter stories 3 months ago, and especially the first story, of tom the kitten.
ive never seen it before, but how she emotionally and slowly told the story,
and the picture
of a child cat that just runs in great summer nature, full of deep genuine happiness,
feeling fully secure, doesn't even care that his clothes are getting ripped
by the bushes when he runs,
made me cry a lot.
it reminded me of how people used to feel me as a child,
kilometers away from a small town,
how summers and people used to feel back in my home where i grew up in nature.
completely carefree and happy, feeling deeply loved.
maybe also of society that´s gone and maybe never coming back.
i havent cried so much in a long time.
if only i could give the same feeling to my children.
i think .. i want to frame that picture, of that running child cat.
i am 33, and i think amiya reading beatrix potter children´s stories has become
my favorite video of all videos.
since she also only plays old games, her loving old 18th century beatrix potter
childrens books fits right in.
