This is almost certainly just very well-adjusted XSens. They're kind of the leaders in this field. Niji used it for a while, Cover switched to it during the Coof, Ame's home setup uses a stripped version of it.

Damon doesn't exactly appear to be getting tired of it. There was a slump with Humanz but Now Now and Song Machine have brought in a whole new wave of creativity from him.

I do miss the grander scope of the older stuff though, Demon Days was a lot more "edgy" than their modern sound.
