They start to compete each other for your attention. I had an oshi who occasionally checked my Twitter likes and tried to copy the streaming style of another vtuber I was following, like streaming during night hours and doing ASMR. Once she noticed I was tuning into the other vtuber's stream more often whenever they overlapped she stopped caring and didn't bother anymore.
