>>44590391While technically milk does have plenty of sugar in it, lactose is not very sweet for a sugar. Cow's milk is somewhere around 4 to 5% lactose, as compared to 2.5% sugar in lemon juice, 8% sugar in orange juice, or 10% sugar in apple juice. However believe it or not, heavy cream has less lactose in it, because the goal is to collect the fats, not the water soluble content.
