The problem was that back in like 2021 Vshojo instead of just standing on it's own started reaching out to leech on dramatubers(nux) and flesh tubers (TT,Asmon,OTK,OTV). Until Kson and Nazuna they stopped trying to get more girls to join and even had a yab where they were letting vtubers get scammed and doxxed by some guy in a bid to get evidence on the scammer.
The leeching done by Veibae and a lesser extent ironmouse led to them bringing in a flux of new viewers who were from people that either caused drama or regularly gave polarizing takes on politics.
This changed the twitch vtuber scene where all the indies who were kissing up to Vshojo in hopes of joining started mimicking the worst aspects of twitch to do what vshojo did and gain the flesh tuber community.
Which led to more twitter pandering and more and more vtweeters. The flesh tubers seeing a new "meta" for content joined in for the novelty which led to their toxic fans finding attacking things that were more common in vtubers before.
This led to a schism where indies who want to be like hololive are mostly on youtube and in small hololive lite companies since HoloEN wont release more gens. While ones who are willing to submit to the whims of twitter/3d streamers stuck to twitch.
