Over 90% of the vtuber sphere both vtubers and viewers are all on Twitch. The only ones on YouTube are corpos, Japanese indies, and YouTubers. Go to https://vrabi.net/labo/progress/2023-03-11 and click on グループ (the second checkbox) for groups or 全体 (the 5th checkbox) for total. There were almost 135K people watching hololive at the day's peak and 299K people watching youtube vtubers in general.
This is also ignoring that the two sites count viewers differently, with youtube filtering out adblockers/background tabs/embeds/etc while twitch counts everyone

Oh, they'd lose some for sure. But if Twitch really died then most of the Twitch userbase isn't going to stop watching streams. They'll look for alternatives and naturally move to Youtube. And so will the streamers they watched on Twitch. The moving streamers would probably keep 80% of their viewers.

If every member of vshojo had their best stream of the last week at the exact same time (which obviously isn't what actually happened) they'd only have 60K combined viewers. Isegye is about the same. Pekora often beats Vshojo or Isegye's cumulative peak on her own.

I have no hard data, but Vshojo and Isegye aren't as big as the Twitch indie scene. There are literally thousands of 2-3 views. English, spanish, korean. The sheer number of them adds up. Of course there are a shitton of smaller indies on youtube too and I wouldn't argue that more people watch vtubers on twitch than on youtube. But I don't think hololive alone beats the total number of vtuber viewers on twitch unless hololive has a really good day.

Again, I don't think Twitch is really in trouble at all unless somehow Amazon got hit by this WAY harder than anyone could imagine, and then the entire world economy would probably be of more concern. It's more likely Vshojo themselves had money in that bank and since to my knowledge the only use Vshojo has to anyone who joins is shit like helping with merch, they might be stimied by this enough to make it harder for them to do that, meaning it wouldn't make sense to even continue operation. Depends on if they got whacked by this and how hard though. Fun thought.
