Storms, cold weather, and other air systems cool down the air, causing it to become heavier than the air around it and it begins to sink, creating a pushing affect on the area underneath
>Also how does one treat it if they suffer from low pressure?The dense air pressure outside causes the air in the sinus cavities to become agitated (imagine squeezing part of a balloon, the air inside will then push against the sides trying to make room for itself elsewhere), which then exerts pressure around your head, usually leading to headaches, ringing ears, etc. As for treating it, I have no idea, but I assume you just treat the systems until the pressure in your sinuses equalizes with the pressure outside.
