>>45095615True. We could simply say that the actual fans of vtubing and weebs are completely filtered out due to those polarizing yabs and general feeling of being shunned by the chuubas. Why watch someone who insults you when there's a world of welcoming chuubas and corpos just a click away? This in turn means that the now majority of NijiEN's audience aren't actual fans of vtubing or weebs, but just a mixture of culture warriors and other such nonsense who have no interest in watching streams or the girls themselves or have any sort of emotional or other investment in the whole thing. That's not sustainable in the least. It's wrong to even call them casual fans because they aren't fans in any true capacity, or even tourists. They just took the branch hostage and to make matters worse some chuubas in it belong to the same opinionated but otherwise disinterested kind.
I used to watch NijiEN during Myth's utter dominance and got filtered out by the males, which I still consider abominable towards the girls who fought to keep the branch relevant and created their own culture. Pomu, Rosemi, Selen and Elira, Petra... they all created something lovely, but then got thrown aside like a used tissue. The whole way Nijisanji treats its streamers is jarring to me. Sure, there has to be competition but in their case it just goes too fast and too hard, resulting in an atmosphere of perpetual neurotic worry and stress. It's just an unhealthy environment. Everyone is utterly disposable. And this general observation is before we take into account all the bullshit that happened afterwards and is happening now.
