>>45192655>whats wrong with the idea of streaming say, once a month?Generally speaking you don't have to stream ever as a vtuber because there were/are vtubers who only produce scripted videos and/or music and that's it. However, when it comes to Hololive and Gura specifically, you need to consider the following:
1.Hololive is pretty much known as streamers group and there isn't a single vtuber in the company who focuses on recorded videos, although La+ expressed her wishes to do so. AzKi was somewhat an exception to that with her music, but that's changed recently. Having 1 stream (video) per month on average is extremely low content output; even "retired" YouTubers often produce more. It just shows that you have barely any interest in your company that's focused on producing a lot of content.
2.Precedent. If your senpai earned their bread by streaming, and you streamed regularly for a period of time, and you have not publicly announced like Aqua that you're somewhat tired of streaming, then your fans have every right to expect you to treat it as a job instead of a hobby.
3.This point is mostly aimed at Gura. Creating fake expectations, ghosting and overall deceit is never a good thing. How many times has she now disappeared only to reappear and create an impression that she's now "back"? Chumbuds have created the longest cope list for their sharky (management's fault, Mori's fault, ame's fault, tempus fault, weather bad, tummy hort, quality>quantity, critique=nijinigger and so on). All that bullshit of guessing, blaming, manipulating and everything else could have just been avoided if she said that she's not really into streaming anymore, but she didn't because she knows that some/many fans that hold to the idea of her coming back would just leave and reduce her passive income.
