I only go there for the conventions and cosplay myself, so I can't speak about the lolitas irl at all, but you get to meet some interesting anons. I've been going to /cgl/ and the con meetups for several years and have made some good friends through them. YMMV though cause there are some turbo-autists and attention whores there too.
