>>45668247Flesh idols have an inherent disadvantage, in that they can't separate their professional and personal life as much as chuubas can.
And flesh idols having a bf meant that her singing and dancing activities became tainted, while having an audience of people who watched them only for those activities and nothing else.
Chuubas meanwhile, are watched because they put out funny videos and streams, and having a bf or even a husband doesn't really affect the experience of watching their streams (unless they invade the steam itself).
Idol activities for holos at least, is not their "main thing".
Tamaki is still going strong because his content has not changed despite Norio getting married. Helps that "Tamaki" is a male as well, so there's a bit more separation between them.
This is also the reason why people who fall in love with Seiyuus are considered a bit retarded, and Seiyuus marriages are a lot more common.
But in classic Japanese fashion, as long as you don't use your marriage to "make a statement" about something, you'll still get jobs. The fans loving them or unilaterally getting mad at them is the problem of the fans to resolve, and it should ideally be ignored. They usually get over it after a few months, even if there's some self inflicted scars (same as how Kanata did).
Then there are Seiyuus who were not comfortable with the fact that a minority of audiences may love them and sometimes put out statements about it. Just them mentioning this means that her "normal" fans get put into the "insane" box by the general audience though, which is why there's usually a backlash to such statements, because no one likes being one-sidedly categorized.
And of course, sleeping around on the job has the exact same problem, but worse for "normal" fans, because no one likes unprofessional whorish behavior coming out from someone holding a respectable job. Being a fan of a whore is shameful both in society and in a personal way, even if you only liked her work and didn't go all crazy love love over her.
