Is being a streamer secretly a hard job?

No.45879670 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I know we all make the joke "just shut up and stream" and call people like gura and ayame lazy, but there has to be a logical explination for why so many popular streamers don't simply "shut up and stream".

The burnout rate for this job is absurd, even among those that make it big. I work in finance so I consider my work/life balance pretty shit, but at least I know when I go home and turn off my phone, my day is done no matter what.

I have no proof to back this up, but I'd be willing to bet the constant psychological stress of knowing people are analyzing every second of every stream turns what would normally be a 20 hr work week into the mental taxation of a 100 hour one.

If you look at the really sucsessfull vtubers, they either really love the job so it's not as much work for them, or they're genuinely psychoctic, often both.

I know the pay for this cna be great, but the more I look at this industry I feel it's like signing a deal with the devil
