>>46014456>doubt it, the platform will probably be only for hololive and MAYBE some affiliated streamersHere is my guess, and it's based on what I have seen this far, there is a big chance that cover is seeking to profit from indie chubas if they give a better cut than what yt and twitch have to offer, there may also be the chance that the offer doesn't have to be superior from what these platforms already offer IF that means that some random indie gets to stream on the same exclusive platform where the holo girls are also streaming, meaning, if they have to pay more to stream there, the hololive buff could make it worth it, but it will all depend on how reliable the service is and how new user friendly it is.
The other reason that leads me to believe that they seek to profit from indies is the new building for 3D they are making, if you're an indie, suddenly you don't have to pay tens of thousands to get a professional setting, just go to cover's room and rent a room and they lend you the tech, and again, the indies (or corporate too, why won't nijis go there instead of building their own) that decide to rent that building may get the holo buff too, maybe they would stack kek.
Huge initial investment but in terms of maintenance... maybe it could self sustain? or at least reduce costs because the expensive tech that would be used on holos only now can be shared and suddenly is not that expensive in the long run. But only time will tell if it will work, it's very ambitious and it could flop hard.
