Like, you're just the viewer or maybe 2 of you.
Kinda feels awkward right? It feels like you're alone together or three of you are in the same room together, strangers.
I just can't bring myself watching longer than a minute.

Yes i once clicked on someone who had 1 view and instantly got greeted by her and got stuck in it for a good 2 hours because i was too embarrassed to leave, at least she was playing ck3 which was interesting to watch. Gave her some money after she went offline because i felt bad for being the only one there.

I've watched a few 0/literal1views, it's definitely awkward, you need to be able to hold conversations since you're probably going to be the only one in chat, and if your personalities don't work well together you will want to leave and leaving in the middle of the stream makes you feel like shit because seeing you appear made them so happy in the first place. With chuubas that have like 5 viewers the pressure to chat gets lifted a bit, but it can still be a very awkward experience since the other guys probably expect you to "join their community" (discord server with like 10 people). I've experienced the lowest lows of vtubing and do not recommend it to anyone who not completely set their mind on saving their 1view that just deserves recognition.

tldr don't watch 0views unless you have good social skills

I genuinely think that low viewer numbers (sub 10-ish) shouldn't be displayed. Obviously the streamer should have access to real numbers, but obfuscating and replacing them with something like '<10' would help spergs such as ourselves (and discourage streamers self viewing/having friends on for discoverability).

The only streamers I watch with less then 50ccv are people I know IRL and I make sure to participate in chat and encourage participation in randoms.Sometimes I say things wrong on purpose to get others to correct me in chat.
But I'd never watch a random with CCV that low, it's way too awkward.

Streaming is a painful experience for anyone with little social or entertainment skills and no desire to improve them.

There was a similar thread where an anon had existential crisis about this. He joined by accident being her first viewer ever in the months since she started. He watched and donated for a while then ended up helping her with streaming. I forgot what embarrassing thing happened but he stopped watching even though she told him he’s the only reason she can go on. Fast forward 3 months he tried to watch again and she was no longer streaming made him depressed that he might have been the cause of her quitting. Long story short you should probably avoid literal 1-2 views

I click on and if i notice I’m the only viewer I try to click away as fast as possible before they notice me. It’s so fucking awkward feeling trapped there. Guy that I worked with when I was a socially awkward teen invited me to see his band play. First time going to see a local band play so I brought some friends along. Showed up only to find no one there except the band members drinking at the bar. They played a couple songs and then just started talking at us to request songs. We dipped as soon as some other people showed up. I like seeing local bands now but man that shit was rough

I used to follow this 1view(on YT) on and off. One time I was watching a stream on my phone while driving. She had 6ccv. I got home and turned off my car. In the switch from mobile data to wifi she started crying and abruptly ended the stream.

There was this other 1view, also on YT, who was from a defunct corpo. I found her because of an ad. Absolutely gorgeous model but she didn't have the social skills to keep chat engaged. She stopped streaming a few months ago.

2view is where it's at though.

not exactly vtubing but I did it once to a twitch streamer. If they weren't playing this specific game, I'd always be the only one watching. Got to the point where they only started playing that one game instead of expanding, which is fine.

Since I stuck around, I got access to being a mod and they started to grow a lot. At some point I couldnt keep up with constantly monitoring both discord and chat because of work, which led me to just leave all together without saying anything.

Watching is fine, but I don't think I have the energy anymore to babysit double digit viewers, both in and out of stream.

I have a confession to make. I tried streaming for a couple of months. Most streams were 0 to 3 CCV but my sub count and VOD views were slowly growing. Eventually I did get some one in chat who stayed and chatted the whole stream through. It was fine, and I was able to keep the conversation well enough. They even subscribed at the end of the stream. Then I streamed a few other games for holloween that did not go well and coupled with some other things gave me a menhera meltdown moment and I haven't streamed since. I feel bad for that guy... At least he said he was drunk so maybe he forgot abut that 0view he subbed to and never streamed again

I actually purposefully avoid watching them live and just watch the vods afterwards. 2views are fine, but being the 4th person in chat is too much for me.
Worse if they have follower notifications on and they realise I'm there. Now I purposefully follow only when they are not streaming.

Today i spent 4 hours watching a stream with about 20ccv and i'm pretty sure i was the only person who stayed the entire stream from beginning to end (or at least the only one who stayed chatting) and it was due to pure enjoyment, not feeling bad about leaving.
This range of ccv is my favourite because chat is slow enough that all your messages get read but not so slow that you are the only one there and feel bad leaving/not talking.
Watching <10ccv streamers does take way more balls, tho i have also had a lot of fun in some streams where the chat was basically me and 2 other people in cases where the streamer was doing something i also enjoy and know about like playing guitar

I once watched an 1view chuuba just because he was streaming Stellaris and that's not that popular of a game.
It was one of those dudes who stream with an female avatar. Not trying to hide it - no voice changer or anything.
There was one another viewer. Anyway, his audio quality was abhorrent and we started complaingin about it in the chat. There was some attempts to fix it but it went nowhere, so he ended the stream and said there'd be a new Stellaris stream after the audio was fixed - tomorrow.
Never checked back until now, but it appears the channel is still active - at least one month ago. The videos seem to be clocking single-digit views.

I think numbers over 500 to 600 viewers is bad for chat. then it just becomes a blurrr. Some people dont 'care and are just there to watch but i mean that's youtube streaming style. On twitch ppl like having cool redeems set up so chat can mess with them and interact more. Some ppl do blow up on there tho as well but there are like 8 million streamers or something crazy like that on twitch right now. Twitch would delay phone notifs by hours at a time but at least they will the streams will always show up on your sidebar and on the following tab.

I watch quite a few 25 and under viewer streams and yeah, sometimes it gets a bit weird if they call you out when you're just trying to listen to them as background noise, but overall I don't find it bad.

There's literally a guy I've known for about 7 years now who usually gets ~3-5 streamers and I drop in there fairly frequently as the only person chatting. We'll make a few comments back and forth, but he's really good about reading when I am not there for chatting and will just talk about the game instead of trying to talk to the chat if they're not talking.
