While there isn't anything wrong with it per se, that doesn't mean viewers need to like that. We are the consumers. Like it or not, it's normal to prefer watching someone who seems like they actually want to be here. As long as they can act like they want to be here, that shouldn't be a problem. But if it's obvious to even the viewers they are phoning it in, why would I watch them when there are much better chuubas?

it's a job that depends on popularity to be somewhat sustainable, meaning if you openly say you're doing it for money (and is boring) then most people will not watch and by extension will not pay for what you're doing
so hiding that or openly denying it might be better for your income than openly saying it and telling them that you're greedy

The problem is the ONLY part. While there's nothing inherently wrong with it, I'd argue that doing any job just for the money makes it less enjoyable for both yourself and those you work with and will lead to you doing worse overall. I can't think of a single posiiton where you'd do just as well hating it as if you enjoyed what you were doing

If one side of their fanbase wants change and another side wants things to stay the same, it's impossible for the creator to please all of them, whichever decision the creator takes will anger the fans who want otherwise.
Those fans then see the other side as their enemy, for causing the creator to do what they didn't want, and attack the other side in the hopes of forcing them out of the fanbase and making the creator appeal to them only.
