>>46697316Coming from Tokyo there's not really a "Wow I'm in such a big city!" factor, but this time of year some of the mountain areas are quite beautiful. I went to Gangwon, stayed in Sokcho and did some hiking. Also visited an observation post near the border with the North on the far East coast. Much less busy than the ones near Seoul. A friend who once went to Gangwon did some surfing, but might have been a different time of year? I'm not a surfer, but it's apparently there's a bit of a scene there.
There are some sights and museums in Seoul to see, and I saw a live game of a Starcraft II tournament. Mostly, I just ate huge meals every time I could. Korean food tends to focus on my favorite flavors.
