Now that I realize that you wholeheartedly believe that let me explain it to you:
Yes, vtubers play a character and act in ways that cause their audience to enjoy themselves and give them money. The audience realizes that and plays along because they're enjoying themselves in doing so, and even feel the need to reward the streamer monetarily for doing so.
Then you come along, look at it, and state how everyone is sad for falling for it, not realizing everyone knows and is a willing part of it.
You basically stood up in the middle of a movie and started loudly screeching how everyone is stupid for believing the movie and that they're all paid actors.
As to why I decided to humor your post that sounded like a caricature of a lunatic, it's because I found it entertaining.
