>>46645684Im not surprised at all. Japan in general is the best organised country in the world. But not because they can and choose to. They have to because how they do a lot of things is extremely inefficient. From small things like their websites being intuitive messes, to larger things like having multiple dedicated people waving a lightsticks at cars during roadworks, when they could just put a light sign. And on very large scale there are things like soda machines on every street corner, most of them refrigerated. Sure, they are handy and cool, but thats such a massive waste of power. They have no choice to be organised, because otherwise everything would just collapse, because its so inefficient. And they dont question their issues either. They were willing to just accept rolling blackouts after 2011, when all NPPs were shut down, because of an incident that didnt kill a single person directly.
