My only option is that Idol's growth smacks of astroturfing, running the streaming side at a loss, burning investor money on promotion in a bid to reach big numbers quickly and snag sponsorships. After that I could see them try to sell the company before growth plateaus and dead subs impact the perceived value of the brand.
