you have you use money from your own pocket for the games and pc parts, also since is a japan corpo they will definitely want you to have everything "legal" wich mean they'll have to pay for the editing programs, if they want to release a cover they have to pay someone for the instrumental, the rights of the songs (sometimes) and the visuals

For big events like 3D debut or the holofest they have to cover their expenses by themselves

sure they would get good numbers but they have to invest that money to keep themselves relevant and the corpo takes some part from the revenues

Every cover song, every MV outside of really specical occasions (like milestone orisongs or song collaborations like Deco27), forces them to pay for their 3D lives, if they have an art piece or background they want to use for something they have to commission and pay for it themselves, and god knows what else, all the while taking a cut of their revenue

Not saying they're actually broke cause of course they aren't, but most them aren't uber rich rich like other streamers and they have a lot more expenses in other retarded areas. Also a lot of them still rent which eats into their money too

Ad rev lets say they average 60k views and ad sense $3.80 for every 500/1000 views and 150 videos their first year that’s 34,200/68,400 at 10% it’s 3.4k/6.84k

With only YouTube, pretending they underperformed on vods, and cover is a black company they still bring in around $140k-145k a year. Not counting salary, sponsors, and merch. This is them only getting 10% so no they are not making as much as most people on a monthly basis they just don’t know how expenses work.
