I don't know why they don't just use their analytics team to gauge viewership in areas and plan sites which large clusters. They don't necessarily need bigger venues, but they could probably fill several venues of the same size in different area.
They're obviously just testing the waters, but only holding one concert on the West Coast was only ever going to serve a very niche group of their audience.
