Again, I don't drink diet soda. In fact, I've never even had one because I hate artificial sugar, but I see plenty of healthy people enjoying it quite often and I think a lot of anons in this thread are just spouting off bullshit without a source.
I'd imagine the acidity from the carbonation is bad for your teeth. Caffeine is bad for you under all circumstances. Like I said earlier, artificial sweeteners are hundreds of times sweeter than sugar and so they can recalibrate your sense of what is a base level of sweetness. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be much wrong with it. Just saying "it's a bad habit" is stupid. You need reasons to call something bad.
