After all, these politics are the ones that start riots, push activism, or sow real seeds of unrest. The best examples are that of Capitol Hill and the Spring Riots. People on this board knows how "involved" such politics can be. The people who are fully backed behind these ideas will start to grab onto space in which they deem can be invaded. Many big politicians do this. Unlike japanese audiences, right once western audiences find some idea they don't agree with they will start making up a stink everywhere. Then it won't just be normalfags, it'll be people looking to start some kind of movement within the company. The people that could be coming in aren't wanting to adapt to the culture around vtubers, but to form and shape it into whatever they want. If things get real political we would start seeing people getting pissed over games like hades just because the skins and looks of gods aren't accurate to greek gods and their depictions. People would start going off on the cultural appropiation that goes on in games. It would be a disaster. At that point, Holo would have to choose what they do, stay out of it all or cave. Truth is, both options are bad. This is because Cover is put in a situation where they look like bad guys if they don't choose. The other side sucks because now that they have chosen a side, not only are they expected to push and pander to keep an on edge audience who would be willing to drop you if you fuck up. You also lose another portion of the audience if they don't want that ideaology talked about or don't want politics at all. Frankly, it would be best if these events can be delayed as much as possible. I'm sure one day it's going to crack and break away. It's not gonna be some out of nowhere thing if that's what you think. Slowly, it will be chipped away without anyone noticing. Then bam, Zatsudan about Gamergate. At this point, I'm just waiting for it to happen. It could be tomorrow, could be in a few months. Who knows, I'll just be watching chuubas until the final yab.
