>>46861399Strategy games is just one of those genres that hardcaps your audience. Yes, there is a vocal minority of nerds that are very into them, and they'll watch if you pander to them (the market for "animu girl plays my favorite nerd spreadsheet simulators" is very small, so you don't have a lot of competition), but are you so desperate that you need to go there? In the long run, it's detrimental on both sides:
The strategy gamer audience you'll attract will be full of autistic volatile nerds who, once the novelty value of "omg animu girl plays MY favorite games!!" has worn off, become annoying backseaters screeching about suboptimal play, while everyone else the normie audience gets hard filtered by boring strategy games so you'll be forever stuck with the former few dozens or so annoying nerd audience.
Plus most women simply don't enjoy strategy games period, and nothing is more miserable than forcing yourself to keep up the act while the nerds you wanted to pander to constantly screech at you from the sidelines about how you could play better, while you're not even growing your channel with the content. It's VERY rare that a woman actually enjoys strategy games, and even more rarer that she's also actually good at presenting them so she could grow her audience by playing strategy games, so it's no wonder most vtubers simply don't bother
