How is that controversial? It's a sucky way to run things, even if you get into it knowing full well that's how things run, it still sucks. We've seen Cover put the business before the talent again and again, and every time they do it you complain about how much it sucks. But if another vtuber says the same thing, it's time to lynch her?

I swear I don't think I've ever been part of another fandom that works as hard to hate their passion as vtuber fans.

Suck start a shotgun. None of these girls, indies, or even nijien would reach nearly the same audience on their own. The girls do get models, and company reps to help get into contact with song writers, and a network of artists and other streamers to collab and make content with. Ina and Gura joined almost exclusively so they could have friends in their profession. The whole point is you are part of a team, you do shit for the team, they help you out all boats rise. Mori is an ironic weeb sack of shit, doesn't learn the language, shows open contempt for her coworkers and is basically living an infantile fantasy using her corporate empowered clout to run around with trashy youtubers she liked while she was younger. Its just unprofessional.
