>>4729256You don't seem to be familiar with the idol conventions. An idol is implicitly in a relationship with her entire fandom. It's not so much that any one person has a shot, or necessarily even thinks they do, but the bond that is could be interpreted as many things is violated when you focus that relationship on any one person.
An exception to this is obviously when an idol and another idol are in a relationship because the overriding cuteness makes it permissable. In that case the fandom can take on the role of father giving their daughter's (who still loves them) hand and his blessing.
