Unless it's the whole art piece or the whole style that they're copying, and that's when they get deservedly dunked on. And guess what, that's what AI and their prompts are able to do, even in a more accurate way.
So unless we're talking about porn, the rest of artists just use IRL images and footage as references. And when they *do* use a recognizable pose or heavily lift a style from an artist's work, they make it known and clear on the piece's description. If they don't, they also get called out, as evidenced by so many tweets where people call out tracers.
