>>47598911It seems that it was very unfortunate timing for Tempus2 to debut. Had cover debuted their EN male branch in 2020/2021 before Luxiem, they'd probably have 2-4x more viewers. They also fucked up HoloEN by delaying new gen(s). It seems that when Yagoo mentioned that they don't want to debut too many new talents, somehow in his head it made sense to look at Hololive as a whole instead of looking at individual branches and trying to grow them independently. It probably went something like this "Oh we have ~35 JP talents, and if you add 10 EN and 9 ID that's a lot of fucking talents, so we better slow down" instead looking at EN and thinking "What if...they also had ~20+ talents and could have huge EN events, avoid dead hours and be able to function more like JP but for overseas audiences?".
Also, why are so many EN vtubers down in numbers? Luxiem, Myth girls and most of other Holo/Niji English branch talents seem to be doing poorly. Sure, you could argue that maybe Fauna or Mumei are doing okay, but it seems that their stability/incline is more due to the fact that Ina is not streaming and not because they've attracted new fans from outside holobox. Is this because there are so many indies and small corpos that are getting 200-1k viewers who would otherwise be watching HoloEN if we were in 2021, or is it because EN fans are simply leaving vtubers behind? I can't seem to find any reliable measure to determine the cause of this. If Google trends is something to go by, then we're at 2022 January level right now, and Holo numbers shouldn't be looking so shit, unless it's actually market saturation that's fucking HoloEN/StarsEN and NijiEN in the ass. Thoughts?
