>>4803468If you ask what KFP >here think about takamori, I guess the consensus is at best lukewarm ("I ignore it, whatever, as long as she's having fun at least...") to negative ("They're both not good enough actors to make this act work (Kiara comes off as too clingy, Mori comes off as too bitchy), it limits their character unnecessarily (see how often Kiara is just flanderized into "haha Calli's wife") and prevents them (especially Kiara) from forming better relations with potentially more fitting partners, and so on, you can probably think of dozens other arguments...) BUT >we here are just a minority, and as long as the much larger braindead normie fanbase masses out there on youtube/twitter/reddit still eat that shit up, they're stuck in that self-reinforcing feedback loop because the "shippers" will forever continue to push that shit back onto them and especially Kiara would oblige them, even just for the fact that she probably doesn't want to disappoint such a large part of her fanbase.
(And to their "credit", it's not like the /u/baiting didn't also have some benefits on the other hand, if "done right", you get motivated fanartists (which is valuable free advertising on social media etc), and for all the bad that flanderization does, it's still an easy and memorable "character trait" to have - probably the reason why they (well honestly, most likely just Kiara, I can't see Mori initating a /u/ship on her own, ever) came up with that play-act in the first place before debut, they saw it "working" for some other holo couples and wanted to get in on the "act" too to stand out a bit better in the beginning, so they incorporated that right into their lore).
But yeah like
>>4803622 said, they've thankfully cooled off it a bit, especially from the obnoxious high point. Or rather lets just say at least Kiara has taken it down a few notches, because Mori was never so invested in it as Kiara (example, Mori brings up Kiara only very rarely unprompted in her solo streams, and even when nudged by chat or whatever, it mostly elicits just a small uninterested "oh yeah, kusotori.... anyways"-response, whereas Kiara is the one who still brings up Mori unprompted in her own solo streams (but yeah even that has diminished a bit... thankfully) and talks about her for longer). I guess it has to do with Kiara leaving Japan, before you had them at least have RL bonding opportunities (and you know how important those are especially for an autist like Mori to warm up and get comfortable with a person), but as Kiara left and Mori regressed back to her old ways, the act has been working even worse than it already had and basically feels like just a pretend long distance relationship they're phoning in (ha, quite literally) to keep up appearances' sake but one party is already done with this shit and the other is basically just trying to entertain an audience and nothing more. Notable low points especially include the Shadowverse collab and some ITT streams, those were just... yeah, left an especially bad taste in my mouth. Of course I'm biased, but chimkin deserves much better than this neglect/abuse, so if that shit just dies out quietly over time (or Kiara gets a better yuri partner, if she has to have one), no one here would complain.
Now, when you ask what Kiara herself thinks/says about takamori, especially in member streams, well there's not much (again, thankfully - most of us prefer hearing less about it, the less time she spends pining over the cringe reaper, and the more time she spends loving us her fans, or hell, even her cats, the better). There was that "infamous vent" you see quoted sometimes that she did after their trainwreck Q&A session, and more recently she just occasionally mentioned that she doesn't talk very much with Mori, you know timezones/busy/etc., but wishes she would rely on her more, but other than that nothing too remarkable, which again depending how you look at it may be a good thing.
