The Coco model was honestly one of the worst designed models in the whole of Hololive.
The only time models looked worse was back at the very beginning with shoddy quality control, like the many faces of Sora (chubby Sora looked awful).
This isn't counting bad rigging of course, there's so much shitty rigging all across the industry from indies to the biggest companies.

When she has her hair looking like the old model, it looks vastly superior.
On that note, Shondos recent upgrade as well as Reiny's upgrade, Shizukous friend, are the right way to go about things.
They still look very much like the originals, just better.
You can look at both and go, "yep, that's Shondo / Reiny alright!"
When you look at Lumi, you can see some of her there, but the eyes really throw it off.
Yuri is like a cosplayer took a stab at cosplaying Yuri to a decent extent.
Shizu is like someone on Chaturbate added #cosplay to their stream and put on a hoodie with the face of Shizu drawn by someone from Tumblr while wearing drunk goggles.
