>but Marine gets a pass for reasons....Because there's an insinuation with Hololive culture that they're against being like whores, even if they act like it. They may say sexual shit, but then they pander to their gachi and say shit like "I'll never get a boyfriend because I don't want you all to be lonely"(Marine) and "You don't want me to ever collab with a guy, right? If you're a real fan, you should never want me to collab with men"(Pekora) and "Don't worry, we're way too much of a mess to ever go out with a guy, it's impossible, we're too weird, it'll never happen"(Coco+PPT), not to mention the literal dozens who have outright gone ahead and specifically said that they won't do collabs with men going forward.
I'm fine with women acting slutty, occasionally. But it has to pair with some level of implied IRL celibacy. This has a number of benefits. One, it keeps the humor as just that- humor. Two, it helps keep shippers away. I fucking HATE shippers. They ruin everything, they ruin any sort of fun you have flirting with the vtuber as an audience member, especially when they fucking jump on you saying "lmao, too bad she's taken by X haha". Seriously, kill yourselves you fucking faggots.
There's a very different feel to pretending to be a whore and being an actual whore. It's that simple. People's real life behavior will always, always, always filter out onto stream. Anybody who thinks IRL circumstances don't effect their on-stream behavior is lying to themselves, and it's not even a particularly good lie, either.
