>>48044634I'm not saying I disagree with this post, but you have to keep in mind that generalizing an entire country isn't necessarily going to portray the best picture of the reality on the ground. Of course, Japanese men being very free with how they spend their money on dates has a lot to do with the expectations inherent in women's attitude, but keep in mind this only really applies to a select subsection of women who's relationship goals are not in line with anyone else's but their own. It is very easy to filter out the women outlined in this post by doing two very simple things: Lower your standards a bit and make a one date rule to gauge for that type of superficiality. You should count your blessings that one date is all it's going to take to know whether or not to kick a woman out to the curb for the stupidest reason. Those you don't kick out have a much better chance of being reasonable, down to earth, genuinely cool people whom with you can have a genuine friendship and romance with.
That said, the real reason for the low birth rate is relatively simple, but extremely hard to address: A very shitty work life balance and the high cost of childrearing, even with subsidies. It's nothing outlandish like all the women wanting top-tier dick and money, even if it is true in a lot of cases. Couples don't have time for romance and even when they do, it's hard to budget for children because they're essentially financial parasites.
I still want a family and a wife, and I'm willing to pay for them, so I guess being aware of this and willing to address these problems puts me at an advantage. Just you wait Lui! I will make you happy!
