A chair that was made 400 years ago can sell for 150,000 dollars, does that mean the chair is a scam? No it's because the chair is 400 years old and might be the only one left in existence.
The lack of something does not equate to a scam, false scarcity is a scam yes, but when you can prove scarcity then that is a heavy determination of worth.
You can bitch and moan that some guy paid 50 million for a 1 of 1 painting, but that's just how rich people operate
